The Head of the Home
I see so many young men today who just slouch along being passive and whimpy and when they get married it seems that they slouch along even more behind their wives. Now, part of the problem is that a lot women don't know how to folow. Many women have learned from the feminine movement that women can be just as tuff as any guy. I beg to differ. Men and women are equal, it is true, but they're not the same. God created MAN first then he created the woman. Does that mean that God thought of women as less important? No indeed. But the point is that the man was created to be the 'head' of the woman, and he created the women to be the helper to the man. So let man be the leader, as many already are, and let the woman be a helper as God created her to be.

Heavenly Citizen
"...Who set their mind on earthly things, for our citizenship is in Heaven from which we also eagerly await the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ." Philippians 3:19b-20
Citizen
Leeann Howard
A citizen is a person born of a land
A land to which, perhaps, a return is planned
Or is it where one’s heart does lie?
A country for which a man would gladly die?
Some belong to the great U.S.A.
And others like in the lands of the U.K
All across the world men do say;
“I pledge allegiance to such and such this day.”
Officially I’m a citizen of the United States.
But really such a term is constrained by finite dates.
I was born in this country and it is likely where I will die
But soon after, homeward I’ll fly!
You see; I’m just a traveler passing through.
I will someday go home; would you like to come with, too?
My earthly citizenship is just a visa
For Heaven is my home, and Jesus is my King.
For Christ I will live and for Christ I will die
For indeed He is my Commander in Chief on high;
For from the time when I was saved,
God’s Kingdom is where my true citizenship has been engraved.

It's Greek to Me Too
I am now taking Greek from a local Bible college, and I wish to tell about it. Although I know half the people in my class, I am by far the youngest. The next youngest is probably around 21 years of age. So that's a little different. I look forward to the weeks ahead as we study biblical Greek along with tid-bits of Hermeneutics. My eldest sister is also taking a class at this college: Christian Missions Perspective, and my next eldest sister is in its choir.
